We don’t just provide a service, we provide an experience. This process keeps you informed while we manage your project in an organized way that maximizes efficiency.
Remodel Design Process
By following our process outlined below, we are able to eliminate stress for homeowners and deliver high quality detailed design plans. We are also able to offer this service at a flat fee rate, ensuring that you know your investment figure before we begin.
PreDesign

2 hour initial consultation to discuss project and preliminary ideas, as well as any other areas of the home that you are interested in discussing. Fee of $350. Read more about initial consultations.

Letter of engagement is submitted to start the design process.

Document existing conditions with measurements and photographs. Kickoff meeting which includes measuring the space and documenting existing conditions with photographs.

It typically takes 4-6 weeks to develop the design proposal, and this depends largely on your availability and response time, as well as showroom availability. Fee is dependent upon project scope.
Conceptual Design

Develop digital floor plans of existing state

Develop new floor plan of the most functional layout, in collaboration with any necessary trades

Develop inspiration images board if needed

Meet with homeowners to approve floor plan and inspiration
Design Development

Develop preliminary elevation drawings coordinated with approved floor plan

Product selections*

Finishes such as tile, countertops and flooring as well as paint colors

Plumbing fixtures such as sink and faucet

Appliances that are being replaced or added

Decorative lighting selections

*Note that options can be presented to you in your home, or we can go to showrooms together and we will pull samples and products that coordinate back to our inspiration direction.
Final Design Proposal

Floor plan and elevation drawings are fully updated with previous feedback from clients, and with all product selections

Construction Cost Estimating
Upon presentation of the final design proposal, we have completed the design phase for your remodel. At this time we look forward to the privilege of developing a detailed construction estimate for your project. There is no cost to you for the time spent developing your detailed preliminary construction estimate. We will meet on site with various trades in order to accurately develop the preliminary construction estimate. The estimating process can take 2-3 weeks because of the level of detail provided.
